WILD MEN – WE HAVE OUR LIVES

Tickets Available Now – See Link Below.

Wild Men is being performed as part of the Bristol Cathedral’s We Have Our Lives. This is a World War 1 project being running from 2014-2018. Each month the Cathedral tells the story of one who died as the result of the conflict.

In September 2015 the Cathedral remember Ernest Bird, a fallen chorister. Exactly 100-years later after his death, Wild Men brings Ernest and his fellow choristers to life in the second working of the show.

ernest bird  ERNEST BIRD:

Born: Winterbourne, 1887

Died: Ypres, Belgium, 24th September 1915

Age at death: 27/28

Rank: Private

Regiment: Royal Scots Fusiliers

Unit: 1st Battalion

This is an extraordinary and moving encounter with men and women who lost their lives a hundred years ago. We hope you will come to know them and reflect on what and how we should remember.

We are a company consisting of ten 18-25 year olds who have been training at Bristol Old Vic since September as the fourth year of Made in Bristol. We will premiere our new show at Bristol Old Vic in June before taking it to the National theatre of Scotland's Tin Forest festival as part of the Glasgow 2014 Cultural Programme.
